Room for Peace

From reading to conversation

The Room for Peace community

The site is the library: documents, stories and sources. The Reddit community is the discussion table: a place to ask questions, listen and explore interpretations.

External, public site · Reading without posting is welcome

Your exercise answers are not transferred to the community. This link includes no answers or activity details. Reddit’s own terms and privacy settings apply there; posting may require an account.

Listen first

Start by reading and checking the community rules, if published. Joining and posting are optional.

Bring a question and a source

If you choose to take part, link to a document on the site and explain the question it raised. Separate what a source says from your interpretation.

Respect the people

Discuss claims, not the identity of the writer. Do not post personal details, students’ answers or information about others.

A question to take with you

Which source changed or complicated your understanding of peace?

After reading the Camp David documents: which difference between the two documents surprised you?

For classrooms: the activity is complete without Reddit. Students do not need accounts or posts; the conversation can stay in class.
